The dealership needs to be sure you’re legally licensed to operate a vehicle before you get behind the wheel. Plus, you’ll need proof of residence for a car loan too. Proof Of Insurance Insurance is required in most states and it’s more than likely that the dealership you’re purchasing from will require proof of insurance. Save some time by contacting your insurance company beforehand! A Valid Form Of Payment It’s always a good idea to contact the dealership's finance department to see what type of payment options they accept and what types of financial documents they may require. Oh and be sure to ask about pre-approved financing options! Recent Pay Stubs And Utility Bills Bringing a couple of your most recent paystubs will make it much easier to get a car loan through the dealership if need be. A copy of your last utility bill with your account number on it will help prove residency if the address on your license does not match your current residency. Credit Score And History While the dealership will be able to pull up your credit score and history, you should be aware of your score and have your own proof on hand just in case. All-weather floor mats are a great way to cut back on the number of allergens that make your carpeting their home and consider investing in some good seat covers.
